When you delete the wrong files, lose files or any reason , you can restore backup data by following this step:
1. Login Control Panel: Plesk by typing you domain’s name and following “:8443” or “8440”.
Example: yourdomain.com:8443, then enter your username, password and click Log In
2. click on Backup & Restore
3. On the Backup Manager page. Click on the date that you want to restore.
4. After clicking on the date that you want to restore, It has 2 ways to restore the data to choose.
Method 1: Select to restore only the desired data. #
1.1 At Backup content
- What do you want to restore?: Choose Selected objects.
- Type of object to restore: Choose the type of data that you want like Mail account, Database, Site, DNS zone, or Files of Domains
1.2 At Restoration options section
- Restore: If you want to setting and content of the restore data, choose “Configuration and contents of the selected objects”, or want to select the specific settings, choose “Only configuration of the selected objects”.
- If you do not want to use the domain during restoration, checkmark ✓ at “Suspend domains until the restoration is complete”.
- If you want to receive an email notification when the restore is complete, checkmark ✓ at “When the restoration is completed, send a notification to” and enter the email account.
Click on Restore Button.
Method 2: Restore all objects #
2.1 At Backup content
- What do you want to restore?: Choose All objects (entire system)
- Components to restore: Choose components of the data that you want to restore.
2.2 At Restoration options
- If you want to receive an email notification when the restore is complete. Checkmark ✓ at “When the restoration is completed, send a notification to” and enter the email account.
Click on Restore button
5. The system will start the restoration process. If you want to stop this process, click on the “Stop”.
6. When the proceeding is complete, the system will be shown the message as in the picture.
